Most of the wooden dummy are
using 3 arms and 1 leg configuration. The dummies are designed to improve
fighting skill such as speed, coordination, chi and hardening of various
parts of the body.
This Hong Kong is a wall mounted
version of the Wing Chun Wooden Dummy. In ancient times, the wooden dummies
were placed in the ground.. The modern design as we know it today is actually
invented by Yip Man. He designed the dummy to fit into a small room such
as an apartment. The Wing Chun dummy of the muk yan jong has a three arms
and one leg configuration, which does represent the body of an opponent
in various positions.
This dummy need to be mounted
on a wall.
